Full Roof Replacement in Newport, OR
Challenge
A customer in Newport called Klaus for an in-home inspection when their roof, which was installed 25 years ago, was starting to have leaking problems in the roof valleys.
Our Sales Consultant, Sean Copas, went out to take a look at the roof. During his evaluation, he discovered that the roof did not have proper flashing, which can lead to many foundational issues:
- Causes water to easily leak and seep into areas of the roof
- Result in rotting and structural damage
- Increased vulnerability of damage to asphalt shingles
- Creates mold or mildew growth
- Shortens lifespan of roof
What Sean Found:
- Moss had begun to grow in the valleys between the roof and the wall flashing, causing shingles to lift and creating leaks
- The old roofing was improperly installed, and a few shingles had blown off in the wind
- The flashings were rusted and falling apart; needed to be replaced with stainless steel flashings
Solution
Our solution was to completely rip off the old roof and replace it with new materials. We replaced all the skylights with new ones and installed our Klaus Roofing System with a 50-year warranty. As a result, this customer now has a brand new warranted roof that is strong, worry-free, weather-tight, and reliable for decades to come.
